“This work examined methods and approaches that could be adopted across the health and local authority economies to address common workforce needs, including the retention of staff. Co-operative mechanisms were adopted and priorities for workforces co-operation agreed. The brief for the work was to: Increase efficiency and effectiveness in training and development activity; Improve recruitment and retention of staff; Ensure local health and social care organisations make best use of human and financial resources; Inform future planning through developing a better evidence base; Widen participation in education and employment; Enhance the quality of service provision.” Completed pre 18/07/2014
