Pauline Milne MBE, PhD, MN, BN, RN
Pauline is a highly experienced and versatile nurse leader with a diverse portfolio of skills. She has worked in a range of senior nursing leadership positions spanning acute clinical care, nursing management, health informatics and workforce policy and planning. Pauline has experience of working at national, regional and local levels in both England and Scotland.
Pauline has led and delivered complex change related to clinical workforce, quality of care and service improvement. She has a long-standing interest in safe staffing, workforce development and staff wellbeing.
Pauline currently works as an independent healthcare consultant and has recently supported NHS Trusts with quality improvement initiatives and COVID-19 response and consequently has a good insight into the challenges currently facing health and social care.
Pauline is an experienced facilitator and coach and has supported staff in a wide range of organisations.
Pauline’s PhD research was on Devolution and Nursing Workforce Policy and Planning in the Four Countries of the United Kingdom.
In 2015 Pauline was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for her services to nurse education.
