Analysed the future workforce requirements for the Out of Hospital Workforce across Barnsley’s health and social care system. Made recommendations as to which of the workforce should be integrated at a locality level in relation to the future population health needs of Barnsley.

We produced:

1. A population cohort model which forecast the changing health needs of Barnsley up to 2037
2. A General Practice Simulation model showing how many GP’s Barnsley will need now and in the future
3. Community A-B Workforce model which shows the skill mix required in neighbourhood teams to meet Barnsley’s transformation agenda matched to the health needs of its population
4. A 36 page report on the Out of Hospital Workforce with 10 recommendations for how to structure the workforce to meet future demand

To complete the work we analysed population health and workforce data and built these into models and tools. We also held a series of workshops to socialise the data and gain buy-in from key stakeholders.
