Ashton, Leigh and Wigan PCT has ambitious plans to develop itself as a commissioning organisation in the context of local proposals for both a Foundation Community Trust and moves toward a Joint Commissioning Agency with the Local Authority. WSP has been asked to facilitate the process of internal PCT restructuring in the light of these changes using a stakeholder engagement process and building on both its local work and its experience from elsewhere.
